Hi,

I tried using UFrame with an updated jquery. but it seems to only work with 1.2.3... the error says that it doesn't support property or method on line 513 ch 9.
$('div[@src]',document).each(function()

but when i look into the jquery 1.6.2 .. the function
each: function (callback, args) {
return jQuery.each(this, callback, args);
},
is present... where did i go wrong.. :(

ps: i haven't made any changes in the codes...

well, I already ditched it and move on... but it'll be nice if we have answers so I might use it to my next project... hehehe

It all seems to work fine unless there is an asp:ImageButton on the child page.
The ImageButton does trigger a postback, but it does not transmit the event data and thus the event handler for the button is never called.

a dropdownlist with autopostback set to true inside of a UFrame, seems to cause a "Microsoft JScript runtime error: 'theForm.__EVENTTARGET' is null or not an object" error.

This problem is easy to replicate with the sample code. I'm working in VS 2008. Here are the steps:
1. Download the following Version/Change Set from Codeplex: 17244 - Oct 19, 2008, and unzip it for step 3.
2. Create a new C# web project.
3. With the exception of the Solution file, drag the files from trunk/Examples/VS2005 into the new project.
4. Set the Start Page to default.aspx and run the code in debugger to make sure it all works.

5. Now in the Default.aspx file add the following:
<asp:DropDownList runat="server" ID="ddlTest" AutoPostBack="true"
onselectedindexchanged="ddlTest_SelectedIndexChanged">
<asp:ListItem Value="0" Text="[Please Select]" />
<asp:ListItem Value="1" Text="Option 1" />
<asp:ListItem Value="2" Text="Option 2" />
<asp:ListItem Value="3" Text="Option 3" />
</asp:DropDownList>

6. In the Default.aspx.cs file add the following:
protected void ddlTest_SelectedIndexChanged(object sender, EventArgs e)
{
string x = string.Empty;
}

7. Run the site again. You should see the dropdown list with the options indicated above.
8. Select any option from that list.
9. A javascript error will appear:
Microsoft JScript runtime error: 'theForm.__EVENTTARGET' is null or not an object

10. Select the "Break" button. Another alert will appear:
There is no source code available for the current location.

The following post looked like it might fix the issue, but trying this did not solve my problem.

I'm having the same problem. My current form is fairly complex with multiple tabs and user controls, so I'll try to narrow it down to limit the options first.

Hi!
Im trying to create a simple page to test this script in php by having one main page "Test.php" and inserting the "test2.php" in the div in page "test1.php".

It not working.
The browser IE8 say uframe.js Object expected.!

What to do?

when i use uframe for load webform2.aspx

my webform1.aspx have a button <asp:Button ID="Button1" runat="Server"/>

if i load webform2.aspx sucess,and then i click webform1.aspx Button1 and PostBack WebForm1.aspx

ViewState cann't load form PostBack

This seams to be similar to a problem I've found:

1) Set up a master page scenario and have a navigation toolbar in it.
2) Have a couple of content pages.
3) Click on the toolbar to navigate to the first page and it works fine
4) Click on the toolbar to navigate to a second page and it throws a message about viewstate being trashed

Now, clicking the back button will work and so will a reload of the page. This is with VS 2005/.NET 2.0 and IE 7.

that Js stack looks indeed very promising. Since you've been using jQuery already, would you consider providing an alternate querying behaviour leveraging the <a href="http://docs.jquery.com/Release:jQuery_1.2/Ajax#Cross-Domain_getJSON_.28using_JSONP.29">Cross-Domain getJSON method</a> to avoid the use of a proxy?
